Is it something about the personalisation of profile? Something about the style of your communications? |

Does your comment arise from: Something you can see / read from the programme? |

Oh, and I thought that was purely due to americanisation. Then I have learned something and at least it makes it quicker to ask my questions! :-) |

Is it more about what the program will enable you to do? So, nothing to do with the program options? |

So are we looking for a specific feature on MSN messenger (apart from chatting/sending messages)? Or is the activity in question common to any instant messenger? |

So was it something you simply wouldn't've communicated to your parents? Or something you'd've communicated differently? Or would you not have communicated with them at all in the same circumstances? |

Hmm...I can think of lots of things I wouldn't've communicated to my parents in the halcyon days of my yout'...but I'm trying to make sure I approach this in such a way as to avoid any potential offense as well... Does it involve some activity or behavio(u)r of which the parental unit(s) might disapprove? Or of which it wouldn't be considered necessary to inform a parental unit? Age of the child unit(s) relevant? Location? Setting? |

I think I interpreted your answer in a more straightforward way - it's nothing to do with what is said but in which circumstances Does it involve some activity or behavio(u)r of which the parental unit(s) might disapprove? Or of which it wouldn't be considered necessary to inform a parental unit? Age of the child unit(s) relevant? Location? this is most relevant Setting? only if this is closely linked to the location |

By Tim A. Dowd (Bodo) on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 - 03:41 pm: In bed? In the bathroom? In class? YES! In the middle of dinner? and Tim concludes another one ******** SPOILER ******* I signed on to MSN and saw that one of my daughters was online. She said that she might be slow in answering as she was in a class. I talked to her as though I was a classmate whispering to her in class, to which she said 'shhh' as though I could be heard. It amused me. I couldn't imagine my own parents talking to me or my brothers while we were at school or uni. We would have been mortified. |
