Ah, well, I had to ask. Let me take another tack, then, and return to the Standard Boring Questions that have mostly been skipped so far...

Is it made of paper? cardboard? wood? other plant material? metal? glass? cloth? ceramic? plastic? leather? rubber?

Is it smaller than a deck of cards? than a cigar box? than a briefcase?

Is it box-shaped? spherical? cylindrical? or is it basically flat in one dimention, so rectangular? round? a torus?

It's neither practical nor decorative? That, I'm going to have to sleep on!

More people are involved. OK, one? two? three? insert the rest of the LTPF List of Positive Integers here as needed, please? Male?/female?/adult? for each if relevant.

Ah, well, I had to ask. Let me take another tack, then, and return to the Standard Boring Questions that have mostly been skipped so far... ZZZZ... ;)

Is it made of paper? cardboard? wood? other plant material? metal? glass? cloth? ceramic? plastic? leather? rubber? Depends on what format it comes in!

Is it smaller than a deck of cards? than a cigar box? than a briefcase? See above

Is it box-shaped? spherical? cylindrical? or is it basically flat in one dimension, so rectangular? round? a torus? See above ;) though I will say that it comes in a box...

It's neither practical nor decorative? That, I'm going to have to sleep on! Zzzz... :)

More people are involved. OK, one? two? three? insert the rest of the LTPF List of Positive Integers here as needed, please? Literally hundreds are involved in the creation of one of this and many were indeed involved in this one Male?/female?/adult? for each if relevant They are not really relevant at all, you know the answer could be right in front of you!

The "people" involved are not the creators of this work of fiction...

Arrrrgggggh! 8-(

So what it's made of varies, and how big it is varies, and what shape it is varies, (but it comes in a box -- If I were to have one, would I be likely to keep the box, or is it simply originally packed? / shipped? / delivered? in a box?)

Do you in fact have one of these things?
If so, please apply the size/shape/material questions to your specific one.

Lots of people involved, but not as the creators -- are they the inspiration for it? is a production line involved?

I probably don't have one, but the answer could be right in front of me. Literally, right in front of me?

Wild guess time -- a music box? music involved at all?

Do you in fact have one of these things? yes
If so, please apply the size/shape/material questions to your specific one. Square, metallic and plastic, about as big as a playing card

Are the "people involved":
the creators of the game?
characters in the game?
players of the game?

Is this who paid attention to detail?

The game: Action? Strategy? Sports? Text adventure? Other? Relevant?
Is it a multiplayer game?

well, you're quite right that I do have a floppy on the desk right in front of my face. You're also most likely quite right that I don't have the computer game (since I don't have any multiple character computer games at all.) So I shall retire to the sidelines, and let them as who knows what they're talking about carry the day.

Feel free to stay, the situation itself could easily have been from a book or movie series and does not require high-tech knowledge at all, only some lateral work. ;)

Oh, I'll jump back in if it looks like I can ask intelligent questions, have no fear. But at this point, I'm not sure that I have any idea of what to ask.

Wait, maybe I do have one intelligent (or at least not-too-terribly-stupid question:

Is exactly which game you're talking about relevant?

Wait, maybe I do have one intelligent (or at least not-too-terribly-stupid question:

Is exactly which game you're talking about relevant? yes, it was Monkey Island 1 and 2 that are relevant here
