Did they in fact play some part of the "unreleased" movie in the cinema? a scene that gave away the ending? but they realized their mistake and stopped it before Victor's girlfriend noticed, but Victor himself was too quick for them? |

Was the unreleased film so similar to the film they were watching that the audio was played over the film they saw? Are they at a drive-in theatre with headphones? Did they both hear the same audio while watching the film they came to see? |

one more thing - is either movie in a language the moviegoers didn't speak? So possibly audio could be played from the new film, subtitles shown on the film they watched, but the two didn't match? |

While Victor and his girlfriend were watching a movie, the staff were watching an illegal preview of the unreleased movie nearby (elsewhere in the theatre? in an adjoining room? or on a computer or something?), and Victor overheard the sound... ? if so, anything else? |

* * SPOILER * * Victor took his girlfriend to see a movie in an adjoining theater to where a premier was set to open later that same day. The movie that Vic was watching was somewhat low-key and quiet anyway. While this was going on, the staff (probably typical movie theater "managers" not older than 18 or 19) decided to get their own preview of this new film with the secret ending. So they ran the movie and turned up the sound in the room, not thinking anyone would hear it since the movie hadn't officially opened, and the staff would be the only ones watching. Victor happened to be sitting near the wall of the adjoining room and could overheard most of the action. So while his girlfriend was engrossed in the chick-flick they came to see, Victor heard enough of the other film to know what all the hype was about. |
