some "trick" relevant... something the average person would consider to be some sort of "magic"? Yope. You're definitely on the right track, but "magic" would be a bit of a FA. |

parlor tricks involve more sleight-of-hand, etc. to perform, usually card tricks, disappearing/reappearing coins, etc... something that "could be done in a parlor, or room".... as opposed to full-blown magic tricks, like sawing someone in half... |

No to all parlor tricks involve more sleight-of-hand, etc. to perform, usually card tricks, disappearing/reappearing coins, etc... something that "could be done in a parlor, or room".... as opposed to full-blown magic tricks, like sawing someone in half... OK, definitley not this, but this is yesishly on the right track. It's certainly not magic, but as the puzzle states, people are wowed. |

does your wowing activity do so because: it is difficult to do? Yes, most people would say so. it looks wow-worthy? Yes it is simply unusual? Yes Actually, I wasn't referring to grammar spelling....but I think I know enough about this to quietly withdraw. I can't think of any kind of spelling involved with this, but if you think you know, feel free to guess away or email me. |

Can you control when it happens? do it at will? or does it just happen? A fair-skinned friend of mine can turn her face a rather surprising shade of purple on command. Any similarity? |

Is the color a reference to skin-color? and is the way-off playing-card clue a reference to the Spades suit (apologies to our African American friends)? |
