go through the sand but this time feel around, to the left and right, if there is another way out, perhaps a doorknob or something Each time you struggle through the sand you hate it more and more; no doors or anything here! You tear yourself out the other side, gasping for breath.

By Mezzoforte (Mezzoforte) on Sunday, December 18, 2005 - 03:54 pm:

throw a brick at the glass while holding onto the switch, furiously trying to switch it until it vanishes. You do this. The switch shatters in your fingers before you've got the chance to move it.

throw a brick at the glass then quickly enter the sand and stay there until it vanishes. after you fall, where do you land? on top of the sand wall? You throw a brick at the glass and madly attempt a dash for the sand but the floor falls away before you're even close.

OK. Does the puke have anything to do with anything? Does it have a use or are you just adding it in for some pointless details?

What happens if you throw a brick through the sand (You probably already said but I can't remember)? Can you throw one and hit the button on the other side?

The shard. It seems to not have much of a use at all. Could you possibly put it somewhere so you can see the button in it? Can you then push the button like that?

And one last thing, this isn't one of those stupid ones is it? I know you wouldn't make one like it but please first clarrify for me. You don't in anyway make a saw to cut something in half and havve two halves to make a whole (hole) which you exit through do you? I know it's not like you but just clear it up.

What happens if you throw a brick through the sand (You probably already said but I can't remember)? The brick gets half wedged in the sand. Can you throw one and hit the button on the other side? They not sinking in far enough to try.

The shard. It seems to not have much of a use at all. Could you possibly put it somewhere so you can see the button in it? Yes Can you then push the button like that? You could try

It isn't one of those no. The stanza is a much more entertaining place, which, if all goes well this time round, will develop into something harder and better and even more entertaining. In a future puzzle.

OK then. I'll place the shard (Assuming I currently have one. If not I'll go through the process of obtaining one) in a place such that I can see the button in it. Now I'll try to push the reflected image of the button in the shard.

What happens?

What happens? You attempt to press the switch but your hand stops at the mirror's surface... although... whilst focusing on the switch, you inadvertently realise that the switch is in the opposite position. And when checking this find it to be so. Well done. The glass behind you has become transparent.

What happens if I stare intently into my mirror shard?

What happens if I look into the reflection of my mirror shard in the mirror (and see infinitely many reflections of myself)?

Is there someway I can simultaneously look at blue glass in the mirror with one eye and the red glass in the room (after appearing on the other side), and create some sort 3D glasses effect to find a clue? (It would be easier if I could just obtain shards of each colour glass.)

Can I use the mirror shard to reflect the sun onto something? Or is the sunlight too dim to have any sort of effect?

Break the mirror with a brick and try to walk through the melting glass.

Roll on the floor all about the room.

WOO! GO ME!

Right. Now, I'll look out of the glass. This sun, is he still mocking me? Can I see anything that I couldn't before? People yet? Anything of significance such as another annoying little room (I know how you love rooms)? Has anything else changed at all?

If I go through the sand to the other room with the other coloured glass, has anything changed there? Has that glass gone transparent too? If not, use the shard to look at the button in here. What happens then. If I have/can get the glass in here transparent also, what can I see out of it? Same as in the other room? Mirror image (Since the rooms are mirror images of each other)? And did the colours of the class have any significance? Or were they just to distinguish between the rooms?

What happens if I stare intently into my mirror shard? On focusing at yourself through the mirror shard you realise you are on the other side... the glass remains transparent.

What happens if I look into the reflection of my mirror shard in the mirror (and see infinitely many reflections of myself)? You get dizzy and begin to feel sick.

Is there someway I can simultaneously look at blue glass in the mirror with one eye and the red glass in the room (after appearing on the other side), and create some sort 3D glasses effect to find a clue? (It would be easier if I could just obtain shards of each colour glass.) As the glass in both image and reflection is clear this is harder to do than you've stated.

Can I use the mirror shard to reflect the sun onto something? You could try Or is the sunlight too dim to have any sort of effect? The sun appears very bright through the glass... and is smiling at you... amused at your attempts to escape the stanza.

Break the mirror with a brick and try to walk through the melting glass. Done. Your arm is frozen in the mirror. It moves neither back nor forth. The sun appears to be laughing at you.

Roll on the floor all about the room. You find this impossible in your current predicament.

If we're still inside, put your back to the sun and stare intently in the mirror shard to the outside. Do I realize that I am outside?

If not, put the glass shard on the ground and stare into the darkness above. Anything?

Well look at the button with a shard then. Then do tell me what happens. Then, without getting stuck on the way, go through the sand and check the other room. Is the glass transparent here or do I have to use a shard to look at the button again? Basically, can you only have one glass wall transparent at a time?

And answer my question about the significance of the colours of the glass. Is it just to distinguish between rooms or is the meaning more deep and involved?

Ok. Then stare at the button the mirror shard, then try my above post on clear glass. Button switched. You look into the mirror at the glass, focusing on outside. Nothing happens. You focus on yourself and feel somewhat reflected but still not outside. Your reflection is still on this side of the glass.

Well look at the button with a shard then. Then do tell me what happens. The switch switches back, the glass is now red. Then, without getting stuck on the way, go through the sand and check the other room. You feel sick about doing so but emerge fine. Is the glass transparent here or do I have to use a shard to look at the button again? The glass is red Basically, can you only have one glass wall transparent at a time? No. When the switch is switched 'all' glass walls are transparent.

And answer my question about the significance of the colours of the glass. Is it just to distinguish between rooms or is the meaning more deep and involved? It is to distingush that you can be reflected by the mirror and transcend the reflections.

Redo the steps to make the glass transperant, with the switch and all. Then:

So we have 2 rooms? Both linked to the outide world by changing colour glass from a specified colour to transparent and back again by looking at a button with a mirror shard? We can travel between these rooms by walking through a sand wall?

Throwing bricks at stuff just makes us re-appear where we were?

Wait a second. "When the switch is switched 'all' glass walls are transparent."? Are you implying there could be more than two rooms? Or maybe that there's only one?

Please describe the layout of the room(s) we know about so I can map out how they would be situated. I can't remember but if the sand wall is connected to the mirror (Rather than opposite), I have a feeling there could be four rooms here.

Wow, this advanced quite a bit today!

Ok: If staring at our reflection brings us to the "other side" of the reflection, then focus on your reflection in the clear glass.

If this doesn't work, repeat procedure for turning the glass red, and focus on your reflection in the red glass.
If THAT doesn't work, repeat procedure for turning the glass blue, and focus on your reflection in the blue glass.

If we are still stuck in the room, focus on the switch to go back to clear glass. Now, with your back turned to the glass, look at the glass with the mirror shard. If you can see your back reflected in the glass, focus on that. (sorry, I hope that was understandable...)

Are there infinitely many rooms? i.e., When we go through the mirror wall, are we just reentering the same room from the sand wall, or are we entering a different room (assuming that the view through the glass would be shifted over slightly in a neighboring room)?

Are we perhaps still drugged?
