Christmas traditions important? quitting smoking important? is there some food he didn't eat that he didn't want to eat? would that food of been unhealthy for him? have caused some emotional problem? was he particualarly susptable to something this christmas that he usually wasn't? did he avoid the feast due to this suseptability? is the thing he gained by skipping christmas a physical advantage? emotional? both? was the advantage connected to health?
