Not many people realize that Keith's job actually exists, although people refer to his occupation rather frequently. What does he do?

Do they talk about his job as a job or as "the man who lets the lightnings look yellow"?

Are people usually being sarcastic when they refer to his job (eg, "he thinks he's the king of the world")?
Or are they using it as a measure of intelligence/talent (eg, "you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.")?
Is it a job held by only 1 person? >10 people? >1000 people?

So Keith makes/builds things for a living?
Does he do reproduce things on a small level (like create weather inside a eco-chamber, or recreate the solar system in a planetarium)?

Would people be surprised that his job existed just by hearing his title? What about if they heard about his job description?

So his job title isn't surprising, just the description?

Would you need a special degree to do what he does?
If so, mechanical/electrical/biomedical engineering? other engineering? physics? math? chemistry? biology?

Does what he does directly effect the:
planet?
weather?
solar system?
outer space?
the human body?
land?
oceans/lakes?
something tangible people buy?
something intangible people use?

It costs less than $100 to buy? Make? use?

Keith isn't responsible designing or making any part of it? But his job has to do with engineering/science/construction/technology/manufacturing?

People use it, but don't really own it, but they do pay for it? Is it something owned by the city/state/country (like a bridge or public transit)?

Do people use it for transportation? pleasure? work? Is it bigger than a car? bigger than a television?

I keep thinking that he's the one that checks bogs - to make sure they're up to scratch -
as in bog standard.

But people don't buy bogs. :-)

Does he test something you could physically hold (assuming that you were incredibly strong)?

Do you buy it at a store? Or is it something that comes as part of something else you would buy?

When people describe his job, would they normally say something along the lines of "he has to test the ..."?

Does he watch paint dry, perchance?Precisely!

****************SPOILER********************

In October, London's Daily Mail profiled Keith Jackson, 57, an engineer for the AquaTec Coatings company in Wales, whose occupation for the last 30 years has been watching paint dry (to gauge its application time). He said the job pays "fairly well" but "can be stressful." [Reuters, 11-1-06] [Daily Mail (London), 10-5-06]
