They: human? male? adult? How many "ones" are there to choose: two? three? four? more? If the wrong one is chosen, will someone get hurt? "Ones" are physical things? |

Path being a life choice? a decision to do somthing over another? eg to choose to study chemistry rather than physics. So there are two choices? but if either is chosen someone will get hurt? The persons in the collective 'lets' is the right one for them the wrong one for the choosers? |

Path being a life choice? a decision to do somthing over another? eg to choose to study chemistry rather than physics. that's a no then So there are two choices? just to clarify my earlier answer "they" in the puzzle statement aren't aware of a second option but may select it in error they do not actually feel they are making a choice but if either is chosen someone will get hurt? yesThe persons in the collective 'lets' is the right one for them the wrong one for the choosers? no the right one would be right for both "they" and the "lets" (god i hope i'm making sense here) |

I'm confused already... there is a choice to be made, but the "they" group aren't aware there is a choice? if they pick the right one, they will be hurt, but it will still be the right choice for everyone? is there a physical path to walk down? are there 2 people in the "they" group? 3? 4? 5? is there a specific number of people in the "lets" group? 2? 3? 4? 5? |

I'm confused already... there is a choice to be made, but the "they" group aren't aware there is a choice? ok lets kill off the whole choice issue. "They" are about to embark on a particular course of action however the potential to make an error exists but they are probably unaware of this. If they go the correct course people (including some of "they") will get hurt . However if they make the error people will get hurt also. I should add that this a fairly lighthearted puzzle and the chances of the error being made are zero. The puzzle statement is a remark made to me by a friend of mine who pointed out a slight oddity that i had never noticed but probably should have. if they pick the right one, they will be hurt, but it will still be the right choice for everyone? see above which i hope answers this question is there a physical path to walk down? more a course of action to be taken are there 2 people in the "they" group? 3? 4? 5? many many more is there a specific number of people in the "lets" group? 2? 3? 4? 5? i'd say about 50,000 but potentially up to 4 million could be impacted |

so the two you confirmed Condoleeza Rice is the other Bush? well i'm guessing those two were involved in the decision to invade Iraq . Others as well no doubt were the choices diplomacy or military action? the choice in this puzzle relates to an incorrect option they may have taken when invading Iraq. It's a potential geographical error |

Similar shape? this one Is it similar in any waY? only in shape. You are practically there so I'll go a head and $poil as you are unlikely to know the region of the country i had in mind |

************SPOILER************** Some years back my friend and I were talking about the upcoming invasion of Iraq. My mate said I hope the pick the right one. When I asked for an explanation he pointed out the remarkable similarity in shape between County Monaghan In Ireland (which is where we are both from) and Iraq. I was amazed that I had never noticed this before. Apparently at a St Patrick's Day parade in New York the Monaghan Branch had to remove their banner because people thought they were protesting about the war. to view the similarities click below www.cynicalstuff.com/2006/12/08 Hope you enjoyed this silly puzzle |
