Was the second party: one person? several persons? Did the second party do something? and you did the same thing afterwards? thinking you were the first? Are there any relevant jobs to be found out (I happen to have a list...)? When you "do something" does this involve any objects? Is the era relevant? the place where you did this? where the second party did this? Are you human (I hope so)? female? adult? |

Noobdogg ------------------------------------------------- Did you invent something? something tangible? The birds and the bees involved? (had to ask) Did you discover something? Like a deserted cave or nook? No to all I'm afraid Tobasi -------------------------------------------------Was the second party: one person? This several persons? Did the second party do something? Yes and you did the same thing afterwards? But not this thinking you were the first? I did think I was the first person to do this, but I didn't think the second party was the first one. See below. Are there any relevant jobs to be found out (I happen to have a list...)? Definitely When you "do something" does this involve any objects? No objects required for what I thought I was the first one doing Is the era relevant? Yesish the place where you did this? Yes where the second party did this? The second party was with me Are you human (I hope so)? female? adult? Yes to all. There might be a slight blooper in my first answer. So I'll try to correct it here. There is one second party relevant for my scenario, but that party is not the one who did it first. So maybe I should've answered Noish to the question whether there are other people involved, as of course there would be someone in the past that actually did this thing I though I was the first one to do. But anything about them is irrelevant |

Did you do an action of some sort that you thought you were the first one to do? Did you dance in a different way? Did you do something that you thought might have been record-breaking? Some extra-ordinary feat? The place where you did this, is it relevant because thats the only place you can do this? Did you choose this particular place because it would be easier for you to do what you did if you were there? Or because the second party was there? Did you take the help of this second party to do what you did? If you were a male, would you be able to do what you did just as well? Is this something you did for your own personal satisfaction? Or did you have something to prove to someone? If it so happened that you were the first one to do it, would you have gained anything? Money? Fame? Phew... I hope this isn't too much at one time! :-) |

Tanvishashikant Posted on Monday, September 10, 2007 - 3:39 pm: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Did you do an action of some sort that you thought you were the first one to do? Yes-ish. Define action. Did you dance in a different way? No Did you do something that you thought might have been record-breaking? Yope, as in me being the first, but not as in getting into Guinness Book of Records or similar Some extra-ordinary feat? I thought it was extraordinary, for sure!! The place where you did this, is it relevant because thats the only place you can do this? Yes Did you choose this particular place because it would be easier for you to do what you did if you were there? I did not chose anything Or because the second party was there? But yes to this Did you take the help of this second party to do what you did? No help needed If you were a male, would you be able to do what you did just as well? Definitely Is this something you did for your own personal satisfaction? Far from Or did you have something to prove to someone? No If it so happened that you were the first one to do it, would you have gained anything? Nothing whatsoever Money? Fame? Phew... Is it relevant how you found out that you weren't the first one? Was the second party just an observer? Did you do what you did for the second party's benefit? Did you like what you did? Would you have done it had the second party not been there? Was what you did beneficial for anybody? Anything? Did the second party do something:- To encourage you?To discourage you? Similar to what you were doing? Was the second party also striving to do what you did? Was your profession a creative one? Did you do what you did while you were at work? Was it by accident? Or did you fully intend to do it? Did doing what you did require physical strength? Mental strength? Intelligence? Was it something that required planning? Some amount of forethought? |

Before you found out that you weren't the first one to do what you did, did you think that you were the first one to do it because:- It was something very difficult to do? It was something that wouldn't occur to anyone easily? It was something miraculous? Or you'd just never heard of or seen anyone do anything like it before? Is religion/god relevant in any way? Magic? Is this a real-life situation? Or something you made up, but which is possible? You said in an earlier post that there are relevant jobs to be found out... Were you talking about your job? Or the second party's job? Or some other person's job? While you were doing what you were doing, were you in a residential building? Hotel? Restaurant? Shop? Mall? In a public place? On a mountain? Hill? Near a river? In a meadow or garden? Basically, were you outdoors? Or indoors? Could you do it irrespective of whether you were outdoors or indoors? Could you do it in more than one place? Would you do it again if anyone asks you to? Is this a present-day situation? If not, then did it happen in the 19th century? 20th? 21st? |

did the thing you did involve a great deal of chance? luck? coincidence? would it be possible to work out the exact odds of it occuring? did this occur at the second party's place of work? were they working at the time? were you 'at work' at the time, ie during business hours and you were being paid, but not specifically for the thing you did? were you and the second party physically near each other at the time? in the same room? were you communicating with the second party at the time? should we find out more about the second party beyond their work and involvement in this event? |

Ok, were you in a casino? A gaming place of some sort? A recreational place? A university or some other educational institute? A hostel or dorm? A large hall? Were there lots of people around you? Did they also see you doing what you did? Is what you did considered inappropriate where you did it? Did you do something with your hands? Feet? Face? Torso? Legs? Waist? Any other part of your body? Some kind of acrobatics? You didn't use any object at all to do what you did? When you say that the era is relevant, is it relevant because what you did was widely done in that era? Or has it to do with the Second Party? Or you drew inspiration from something that happened in that era? Is the era in any way relevant to how you did what you did? I hope these questions aren't too annoying! |

A few weeks ago, while waiting for the dentist to finish checking my x-rays and dental charts, I dozed off in the dentist's chair. Had been a up late the night before (chatting to my housemate, probably), so I was very sleepy. I was so sure that I would be the first patient he ever had that had fallen asleep in the chair, but he told me that others had done it before me. BUMMER, :-) Thanks to everone for playing. |
