My name suggests that I cannot see, but strangely enough if I'm fulfilling my function, I'm in all likelihood the only one who can! Who am I?

Are you alive? If so, human? adult? male?

Is your function your sole purpose for existence?

Are you blinders (as in what a horse wears around its eyes)?

Are you blinders (as in what a horse wears around its eyes)? Good job :-D. Extra points if you name something else that fits the description as well...

Actually, 'blinders' worn by horses don't really blind the horse, it can see, though only a limited amount... what I'm looking for fits the description exactly...quite surprised you didn't get it on the first go actually :-) but I'm positive you will next guess!

Are you talking about "blinds" as in window blinds?

Would it just be Blinds as in Window blinds? We call the things that horses wear Blinkers. They don't blind the horse at all but nullify much of it's peripheral vision. Some racehorses have an unusual quirk in that they stop trying as soon as they sense a horse passing them. The blinkers combat this and keep the horse focussed on looking straight ahead

Would it just be Blinds as in Window blinds? Yes to both!

****************SPOILER*******************
Blind(s) ---> When they're shut, they're the only ones that can 'see' outside!

Gratz to Tanvi and Peter! And a close guess by Elness as well!

Be careful with those split bamboo blinds - been popular for their cheapness for decades. I used to pass a house that I assumed didn't have a blind or curtains against their kitchen window as you could see everything when the light was on. Then later on I realised that they did in fact have one of those blinds. They give a false sense of privacy from inside, but absolutely useless with the light on. No problem with a kitchen, but if it was the bedroom or bathroom...
