A spurned lover intent on murder shows up at his ex's college dorm. He is able to get into the building, but he knows he can't stay too long, or risk being seen. Inside he finds her room, as well as to everyone else's, locked and empty, and he has no idea where to find her. The bathroom and kitchen are also under lock and key. But he planned for this. Within hours she is dead. How did he do it? |

Is she actually on campus at the time of her death? Is he actually on campus at the time of her death? At the time of her death, is he in a kitchen? In a bedroom? In a bathroom? In a lecture theatre? Does he own any keys? Does he enter any of the students' rooms on the day of the killing? Are mobile phones relevant? Lecture halls? Would this work in a rugby club? A church? A swimming baths? A betting shop? Does he actually carry out the killing himself? Are all "hes" the same person in the puzzle statement? Are all "shes" the same person (ie the victim) in the puzzle statement? |

Did anyone else die? Everyone else? Did he cause a massive nuclear apocalypse, and the trip to the campus is just a diversion? Does she go back to her room before she dies? Does she touch anything that he touched? Does he know which one is her room? Does he touch the door to her room? Is it relevant that he's her ex? Because it means he knows something about her dorm? Her habits? |

I'm aware that some dorms in US colleges have 'whiteboards' on the doors to the rooms that work as a sort of realtime scrapbooks. Maybe she did this thing where she drew a quick sketch with the whiteboard marker using her mouth, elephant painting style? Possibly, the marker is attached to this board, which is how it was accessible to psycho. |

Noobdogg- I'm aware that some dorms in US colleges have 'whiteboards' on the doors to the rooms that work as a sort of realtime scrapbooks. These revelations bring us close enough for a... ******************SPOILER********* He left a liberal dose of poison on the pen attached to her whiteboad. Many college students leave these on the doors of their dorm rooms, and write where they are on it whenever they go out. The girl returned to her dorm, then on the way back out, wrote her next destination on the door. As per her habit, she chewed on the end of the pen while thinking about what to write. Good job everyone, and to Noobdogg for bringing it home! |
