Right - "jinkies" was what Velma always said on Scooby Doo... So main four human characters (Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy)? Being declared imposters just because that's what always happens on the show (the ghost/bad'n is someone in a mask/costume/robot)? |

Is there more to it than the fact that they actually weren't the Scooby gang (becuase they were wearing costumes)? I assume there is... Did Andrew for some reason think the actual Scooby gang would be coming? Was there something slightly wrong about their costumes, or their actions (something not in keeping with Scooby Doo)? Did they say? do? anything relevant when they arrived? On their way? |

erm... is that a frivolous yope, based on the fact that frivolous questions deserve frivolous answers? No, it was more of a yope based on the fact that while they were not expected to be ninja-zombie-pirate-penguins, exactly, they would not have recieved the accusation of being imposters had they dressed this way. In fact, Andrew would have expected even something as crazy as this before he'd expect them to show up as the cast of Scooby-doo. Were they actually supposed to be dressed as something else? yope. same explanation as above. Did she tell him on the phone what they were dressed as?no And he misheard/misunderstood?no Were they actually supposed to be dressed as ninjas? pirates? zombies? penguins? no. they weren't expected to be anything in particular, Andrew just never expected Scooby Doo. Was/were there (an)other group/groups at the party already dressed as the Scooby Doo gang?yes! I think that's sufficient for the SPOILER My friend Andrew had a Halloween party this year, and he, his girlfriend and two of their friends dressed up as the Scooby Doo gang, complete with 2 labs dressed up as Scooby and Scrappy. Our friend Lindsay and her crew decided this year to keep their costume plans a secret, so Andrew and the rest of us had no idea what they would show up as, and because they wouldn't tell, Andrew kept his group's costumes a secret from Lindsays group. Most of the party-goers were already at Andrew's house when Lindsay called to say they were on their way over. We were all eagerly anticipating seeing their costumes, and then up the driveway they came...in a cardboard Mystery Machine (the Scooby Doo van). Andrew's Scooby Doo gang came onto the porch at hearing the rest of us in hysterical laughter and Andrew immediately declared that the new arrivals were imposters, especially since Lindsay's gang only had a stuffed Scooby. All I can say is it made for a lot of laughs and some really funny pictures!! |
