Oh...didn't realize that was part of the puzzle... Just assumed he got hit in the head with a flying penguin or something... No? OK...Was it blunt force trauma? heart attack? his shoe-lace was caught on something? I am assuming this could qualify for one of those Darwin awards... |

Debris from the collision? something more specific? Something that was on the train? Did the train throw the car upon impact and it hit him? Was he hit by his girlfriend's flying dead body? Relevant what part of his body was hit? Where he was in relation to the collision? Was he running when he was hit? Had he fallen? |

******* SPOILER ********** LOCAL NEWS SUN VALLEY, May 21, 2007 - Metrolink officials say the driver of a car deliberately parked on train tracks in Sun Valley with the intent of killing the female passenger in the car. Police in Los Angeles said that they believe a 21-year-old man deliberately parked his car on railroad tracks, with his girlfriend inside and a train approaching. However, the girlfriend survived (with serious injuries), and the man was killed by shrapnel from the collision as he was fleeing. The driver has been identified as 21-year-old Brandon Julius Funches of South Los Angeles. Officials say Funches tried to escape the car and was killed at the scene. The female passenger survived the crash and was transported to Holy Cross Medical Center. She suffered a concussion and facial lacerations. She is in stable condition. She has been identified as a 23-year-old woman from South Los Angeles. The collision occurred around 12:10 p.m. on Monday in the 9800 block of North San Fernando Road, according to Los Angeles Fire Department. Witnesses say the man, later identified as Funches, was driving erratically before he drove onto the track. Officials say there were 132 passengers on the train. They were not injured. Excellent work, Ms Lori! |
