Timmy is a nice and generous person; he's willing to stretch far to help his friends, family and neighbours. But on one account his helpful attitude could have landed him in big trouble. Explore. |

generous with time? money? help? is one of these more relevant? For this puzzle, help would be closest of these three. |

Will try to breath life back into this puzzle Timmy is doing something to help others. The thing he's doing is helping his friends, family and neighbours in one spesific way. What he's doing is saving them money, if they are using his "offer". He's not doing something actively and repeatedly, but he did something once and that keeps on "working" (yes, I know it's cryptic, but you'll soon understand, lol). Era is relevant. This could not have been done before the 21st century. |

Was the thing only invented this century? This spesific thing was, or maybe the first attempts were made in the late 90's, but it has only become a common thing in the last few years. However the technology behind it has been around for a while. Explore. A phone? Not a phone, but..... |

Viruses? "big trouble"= losing money? going to jail? being embarassed? Making an enemy? Losing respect/honor? |

*********** SPOILER ***************** Alex is perfectly right. "Timmy" is my nephew, who has let his wireless connection open for friends in the neighbourhood to use as they wish. But he got a shock when I told him about an incident in Finland. Police knocked on the toor to a family and almost arrested a man because his open wireless connection had been used by a neighbour when fraudently transferring money from a client account to an overseas account. But the same would be if a hacker tried or a person downloading child porn. It is the access point they trace. I told him to rather give his password to friends and not leave it open, but whether or not he has done so, I do not know, lol... Youths never listen to adults, do they?? |
