Nightingale?
Is it some pun on the word Nightingale?
Is it related to the fact that nightingales can sing? are birds?
Is it based on the Hans Christian Andersen story "The Nightingale"?
Is anything about the plot relevant other than that it is about a nightingale? Is it relevant that it is about a nightingale?

A nightingale is a flannel scarf with sleeves, worn by hospital patients. Is this the relevant meaning? How about 'I've got you over my skin'?
