Are leap years relevant? No. Does "timely" refer to a specific time of birth (i.e., 11:11 AM)? No. Hint: There are no specifics of location, date or identification involved; this could happen to any family, anywhere, anytime. Assume modern times, developed-country location, and an ordinary mother, father and baby. Also, Liquizt's "events of the day she was born?" is a BLOOPER -- the answer should be "Possibly, assume yes." |

So if the specifics of the date don't matter, but the events of the day she was born do, this must be a recurring event, right? Something like being born on the solstice? A holiday? |

Recap: A musician's daughter was born late. However, he considered her birth timely, and his band commemorated this in their work. He considered her timely due to something relevant to his career, specifically involving the band's performances. |

A tour relevant? Yes. A particular gig relevant? No. A particular song relevant? No. Would he have missed her birth if she had been born on time, due to a gig? but because she was late he was able to be there? Correct. Spoiler: ****************************************** This happened to Alan Reid of Scotland's Battlefield Band, a folk music group which was on tour in Europe during his wife's pregnancy. Due to travel difficulties at the end of the tour, he was worried he wouldn't arrive home in time for his daughter's birth. But the birth was late and so he made it. The band's next album, On the Rise, featured a tune titled She's Late But She's Timely. |
