Hey Brid, thanks for getting back so soon! My name is actually USMC Fink, just all smashed together =) So, as I gather, the following is true: This was an event that happened to you and others. This event had little effect on you and no effect on others. It caused a mild emotion of negative surprise from you and it is hard to say if it caused any of the same in others. The event is also somewhat reliant on the time period in which it took place. Did this even occur in 2008? This decade (2000+)? 1990's? Did this occur in an urban area? Suburban? Rural? Wilderness? Was it during the Summer? Fall? Winter? Spring? |

---------RECAP--------- Something happened in a small group, including me. I never thought that would happen, and was negatively surprised, although mildly. The others possibly also had much the same feeling, but I'm not certain about this. It happened in September this year, as far as I remember, and this is relevant-ish. The age of someone is also relevant. Now will anyone ask something more, please? |

******** SPOILER ************ Some time in September I sat talking with some friends. One of them, a couple of years older than me, said: "Brid, how old are you?" "43", I replied without having to think. "Oh no, you're not", said another, who is born the same year as me, which we have both known for many years. "I'm not?" said I. After a short discussion, establishing what year it was and which year we were both born, I had to agree I was only 42 (and, say, six months). I lost track of my exact age for the first time when I was about 23, but I never thought I would take for granted I was older than I was. And especially not while being 42, this magical number, the answer to the great question about life, the universe and everything - the question nobody knows the exact wording of, but which has been suggested to be "How many roads must a man walk down?"... Thanks to all who played! |
