He decided to campaign on radio. When they first heard the ad, they thought he was selling TVs. A little bit more than slightly silly so have fun! |

Is the brand of tv relevant? If so, was the brand name close to the man's (the campaigner's) name? Is the office he is running for relevant? city govt? county govt? state govt? federal govt? Are "they" all the listeners at the time the ad was first run? His campaign crew? His family? |

BLOOPER: The answer to "Are "they" all the listeners at the time the ad was first run?" should be "Many of the listeners but not necessarily all." |

Is he a politician? Any wordplay involved? Any words misheard? Any ambiguous phrases? If he had typed out his campaign pitch and posted it on the www, would we also be likely to think he was selling TVs? TVs = televisions? |

Does he share his name with a make of TV? Although I can't imagine any country electing someone named after a tv (or can I) Or does his name suggest a part of a tv e.g. Ray Tube. Are his initials relevant? |

Is the word "electronic" relevant? Maybe he used the word "elect", and his first name is Ron? |

Is the word "electronic" relevant? Maybe he used the word "elect", and his first name is Ron? Haha that was quick! *****SPOILER***** Ronald Hicks' radio Ad campaign had the confusing phrase "Elect Ron Hicks!" included. Thanks for playing along! |
