A little Halloween fun. I'd like to point out that my title works on two levels. Oh, and if you've heard this story before, let people guess for a bit. =) "Zombie Rabbit!" |

Kendra is a character (a rabbit) in this web comic: Little Dee, and once appeared dressed as an undead flamingo or stork or something - quite a cool costume, I thought, even for a fictional character. Oh, wait a second...ok, here's the actual strip (about halfway down the page): Undead Flamingo (sans guitar) |

So is a dog involved? A dog dressed as a rabbit? Rabbit dressed as a dog? A dog named rabbit? Dog named Zombie? Did the owner say to the dog "Zombie rabbit" as in Zombie get the rabbit? Did a dog named Zombie kill the rabbit? (Based on the "woof" clue) |

is the dog named Zombie? perhaps she is calling the dog and the rabbit? So instead of it being "Zombie rabbit" it would be closer to "Zombie. Rabbit." Although, if she could come up with no better a name for a rabbit than rabbit...well...I just don't know how much I like the story woman! So hopefully I'm wrong =) |

Doesn't have anything to do with the "Bunnicula" series, does it? Has a dog narrator, but the rabbit is a vampire, not a zombie. Is it a child who says "Zombie Rabbit?" Has someone recently found the pet dead in its hutch? Are other animals dead? Did the dog dig up the buried rabbit? |

Although, if she could come up with no better a name for a rabbit than rabbit...well...I just don't know how much I like the story woman! So hopefully I'm wrong =) I know: to give a dog such a wonderful name, then call a rabbit Rabbit? That would be horrible. Maybe some kid loses his rabbit, buries it in the back yard, the dog digs it up and carries it away somewhere. The next day the kid is out playing and goes over to visit his poor rabbit's grave when he sees the uncovered grave and another rabbit inside it! The kid assumes it is his rabbit and runs screaming away from the "zombie rabbit." Anything like that? |

Has he lost his mind? Can he see? or is he blind? Can he walk at all? Or if he moves will he fall? Is he alive? or dead? Has he thoughts within his head? We'll just pass him there? why? should we even care? He was turned to steel? in the great magnetic field? When he traveled time for the future of mankind? Nobody wants him? He just stares at the world? Planning his vengeance that he will soon unfold? |

***************SPOILER*********** Bill's elderly next-door neighbor keeps a few pet rabbits in a hutch in her back yard. Late one night, Bill lets his dog out, and when it comes back it has a rabbit in its mouth. The dog was just playing, but the poor bunny seems to be in shock, so Bill runs it back over to the hutches and stuffs it inside. Then he goes to bed. The next morning, the old woman is standing in her backyard, a bit bewildered. "I buried my poor dead rabbit by our fence yesterday," she tells him, "But this morning, it was sitting in the hutch again! Zombie rabbit!" |
