As a former New Yorker, I know that there is a widespread scrund about people who live in New York City. What is it?? |

Does it involve accents? Who would have this misconception? (People in the US, Foreigners) Does it involve food? |

Does it involve: Politics? Crime? Traffic? Sports? Money? Does it apply specifically to people, or to something that affects them (like, say, housing prices)? Does it apply to their bodies? Their minds? Their backgrounds? Their sense of humor? Does the scrund only apply to NYC, or could it apply to other places? Does it apply to all NYC'ers, or just one or more class(es) of people (firefighters, Asians, pet-owners)? |

Yes ***** SPOILER************** I'm from Brooklyn, & my (middle-class) family did not own a car. Whenever I mention to anyone (except another New Yorker) that my family didn't have a car, the reply is, "Well, of course not; you lived in New York." But I knew only one other person whose family did not own a car & they were poor.Sorry it was so easy, but check out my new, harder one. |
