This almost sounds like a classic puzzle so i will guess the obvious answer. He was skydiving or otherwise fell from a plane or some other think really high up in the sky and some how managed to lose his parachute bag and thus hit the ground and died. |

Check the classic puzzle list at the top of the puzzle forum (the one called "Dead men, albatrosses,...") before you start one you've heard before. Chances are, it's there. It's probably a good idea to read through the list anyway, just so that you know what the classic ones are. |
