Unfortunately for him, the duck was faster. (Inspired by Markobr's puzzle. Thanks for the idea.) |

Is it a virtual representation of a duck? If so, on tv? A computer? In a movie? Is it a person pretending to be a duck? A toy duck? Did the boy lose a game? Something tangible? Something emotional (like his pride, dignity, good mood)? |

Was the duck a mascot for a sports team? a Halloween costume? a "duck" in a game of duck, duck, goose? Was the "duck" dressed as a duck? or simply playing a role? |

a "duck" in a game of duck, duck, goose? this one. ***SPOILER*** He is the goose in duck, duck, goose. The duck was faster than him. So he "lost" the game temporarily and became the new duck (or "ducker"? Once the puzzle got started, I realized that I vaguely seemed to remember calling that person the ducker (as in, the one touching everyone's head and saying "duck"), rather than the duck. If that's the case, sorry for the mistake.) Thanks for indulging me with my silly little puzzle. I couldn't get it out of my head after reading Markobr's puzzle statement, so I figured I had to post it. |
