When George learned the true meaning of the award he had won, the honor turned out to be much smaller than he expected. How come?? |

Was it still an honor? Was it the IgNobel prize? Some sort of consolation award? An award for being good at something trivial/bad/worthless? A joke award? Did he have a scrund about the award? Would anyone recieving the award feel that the honor was quite small? George=HAM? Was there an awards ceremony? Was that where he learned the true meaning of the award? |

Was it the award itself of less honor? Or did it have to do with the (organization? Person? Persons?) giving out the award? Did he mistake it for a different award? Was the award for: something he did? Something he owned? Something he was? Some record? An achievement? |

Is the award granted for being the best in something (like an Olympic gold medal)? Or just for being good in it (like a grandmaster title in chess)? For having done something well in a particular case (like a medal awarded to someone having saved another person's life)? Can only people living in a certain region get the award? People who belong to a certain organization? People of a certain age? Sex? Occupation? |

Relevant which occupation it is? If so: something you do to earn money? Or as part of an education? Is the award granted for being one of the best in something (like an Olympic medal in general)? Is there something you specifically do to win the award (like taking part in an Olympic competition)? Or do you get the award for something you mainly do for other reasons (like Is there a fixed maximum number of people who can get the award during a certain time?taking an exam and getting an award for being the best student)? Do you get the award for something you achieve in the field of sports? sciene? arts? business? |

Was George given an award for being the best at something, only to find that the competitors were very few in number? For example, it was for the best worker in his department, and there are only two people in the department? Or was he the only one eligible for the award? |

Does the award have multiple classes (for example, Iron Cross, first or second class)? Are there several components to it (for example, the Nobel Prize is a medal that ALSO comes with a lump sum of money)? Was George a businessman? Was he engaged in sales? Promotion? Manufacturing? Leadership? Was he a trainee of some sort? Was he the only person to receive this award? If so, was it a singular award, or was it given to people before/after him? Did he receive it for his work as a businessman? Was it prestigious? Was it awarded at a ceremony? One with many people present? Did he think it was any of the above? And was wrong? |

Did George receive the award for being very knowledgeable in a (his?) field of business? In some aspect of a (his?) field of business? For some kind of invention or innovation? For the size of his business? The amount of work he did? Did George somehow misunderstand the scope of the award? If so: geographically? age-related? Breadth of the award's field? Length of time (e.g. "Best X of the Year" vs. "Best X of the Century")? |

Did it take time for him to learn the true meaning? Did learning it involve destroying the award? Damaging it? Decreasing its value? Allowing more people to get the award? Selling the award? Changing its honor? Decreasing its size? Letting another person receive the award? Did the award hurt his reputation as a businessman? Did he hurt the award's reputation somehow?
