Is "Why are you suing me" said by one person, and "You persuaded me to do it" by another? Or is the whole puzzle statement said by the same person? Is someone barefoot? Is it foul-smelling?

I've just realised that I've been rather stupid, somehow my brain was stuck on the meaning of 'it' as referring to the act of suing, so couldn't comprehend how both sentences could be within the same quotation marks. Thankfully, I now see the light...

Is the speaker HAM? Is the person he is speaking to HAM? Is this person actually suing the speaker? Did he actually persuade the speaker to do it? directly? indirectly? This thing that the speaker did that he is being sued for--does it harm the suer physically? financially? psychologically?

(Or perhaps, Jim and Fred have made up, and Jim is now helping Fred sue Mike for the tattoo? =P )

Relevant that they are all M? The persons he speaks to - do they frequently act together? Are all of them suing? Did all of them persuade him? Are they all harmed physically? financially? psychologically?

Is the speaker barefoot? One of the persons he speaks to? All of them?

Is there anything literally foul-smelling? Or is there a metaphorical smell to something?

Were they barefoot at the same time as they were foul-smelling? Approximately, yes; there might have been a small time difference (within minutes) which is not really relevant Did they suffer another kind of harm for the same reason that made them barefoot and foul-smelling? We have already established that they suffered physical, psychological, and financial harm Do they sue because of the events that caused them to be barefoot and foul-smelling? Yes

Was it a roller coaster? A ride that rocks back and forth (like a pirate ship ride)? A ride that spins vertically in a large circle? A ride that spins horizontally in a large circle? A ride in which individual ride cars spin in small circles (e.g. tilt-a-whirl or the teacup ride)? Is it one of those rides that the floor drops out of but everyone stays stuck to the wall because the ride spins so quickly (this would make the most sense for taking off shoes, I guess, and would also be one of the least pleasant in the event of vomit, I think)? Is it a ride that primarily bounces people up and down?

Why did he refuse to let them on--was it something to do with them? something to do with the ride? something to do with himself?

Did they remove their shoes deliberately during the ride? actually reach down and pull them off? Were they supposed to do this? They had been drinking, right? Were they in fact drunk? obviously so?

Is the FA because he did let them on? But they had to convince him to let them on, correct? Does this mean that he didn't want them on at first?

If they hadn't removed their shoes, would they still have puked? Did they remove their shoes because, being drunk, they just thought it would be funny? or is there a more specific reason? Have they now lost their shoes?

Was the ride one that riders leave their feet dangling below them? Such as the giant swings? When they removed their shoes, did the shoes stay on the ride, or did they fall to the ground?

So they didn't have to convince him because they appeared too drunk to ride? Was there another reason they shouldn't have gotten on? such as one or more of them being too short?

Was the ride closed? If so, because it had failed a safety inspection? Because the carnival was closed?

Was the ride operator an actual ride operator (was he trained to do that/did he do it as a job)? Or was he just someone who happened to know how to work the controls? Or someone who thought they could figure out how to work the controls? Was he a member of their group?

When removing their shoes, was their primary goal to remove their shoes? Or were they attempting to hit a target? If a target, was it the ride operator? The ride controls?

Did the ride malfunction? Did it work unexpectedly? Did it run too long?

***************SPOILER*********************

A traveling carnival arrives at a small town, and the operator of the chair-o-planes makes friends with the local guys. In the evening, they go to the local pub together, buy each other several rounds, and when they are boozed up the locals suggest that they could take a ride on the chair-o-planes. It is not difficult to persuade the operator as he is as drunk as the rest of the company. He puts the ride into motion but then falls fast asleep. Obviously, his companions do their best to wake him, throwing their shoes at him. As it does not help, they throw up all they have eaten the week before. It takes a long time before someone comes to free them. They have to go on sick leave for a week, and they sue the operator for lost profit and damaged clothes, let alone being the laughing matter of the entire town.

Thank you all folks for participating, and Noel for the final swing.
