tom wants to get into a members club but isnt a member, he know he needs a password to get in, so he decides to hide around the corner of the club to listen for the password, 1 member comes to the club, the doorman says '6' , then the member replys '3' and gets in, a second member comes, the doorman say '12' , the member replys '6' and gets in, tom thinks thats easy just half whatever the doorman says, tom goes to the entrance, the doorman says '10' , tom replys '5' the doorman says "hey your not a member get lost" what should of tom replyed to get in? | ||

The word twelve has 6 letters The word six has 3 letters The word ten has 3 letters He said 5 and was not let in, so he should have tried saying 3 instead. This is the classic solution, or do you have an alternate one in mind? FYI we are a forum for original lateral puzzles, so could you please post ones that you have made up yourself or that are not very popular? Thanks! | ||
