For most of the year, on six days each week I jump into the air at least once. Why? |

school relevant? breaks from school? (which would cover "holidays and others", I suppose...and I doubt you'd have classes on Sunday...but Saturday classes aren't impossible...) |

Sports relevant? No Basketball? No Being not tall enough to reach somethinng relevant? Yes! Are you jumping down steps? No Jumping up from the ground in order to just fall back down again? Yope - I do intend to just fall back down, but I have a purpose in doing so. Does this involve the route you take to get to/from classes? No dining hall? No some other place on campus? Yes or off? No or numerous places? No, just one place. I suspect this will go quickly. |

Is it that you jump up to try and hit the top of an archway? (I have noticed this behavior in many guys. Why they do it, I can't say, but it irritated me...and them...by the time I was in sixth grade and one of my classmates, who was over 6 feet (yes, we were just eleven) tall by then, could just reach up and slap the archway without even leaving the ground.) |

Is it that you jump up to try and hit the top of an archway? Good guess, but no. I did that all the time in elementary/middle/high school, but there's no good archways here. (I have noticed this behavior in many guys. Why they do it, I can't say, but it irritated me...and them...by the time I was in sixth grade and one of my classmates, who was over 6 feet (yes, we were just eleven) tall by then, could just reach up and slap the archway without even leaving the ground.) Is your mail on the top level? Quickly indeed... **********SPOILER********** As you all know, I'm short. This has proven to be a disadvantage to me when getting my mail, as my campus mailbox is on the top level. It's low enough that I can reach it with relative ease, but high enough that I can't see everything inside it. So whenever I get my mail, I have to jump to make sure I've gotten everything from the box. Obviously, mail does not come on Sundays, so I don't have to jump then. Nice quick solve, Lynne et al. |

5'3" or 5'4" (160-163 cm, if I converted it right). AKA "not tall." |

Hang on, Lynne...is your daughter 5'0", or is her fiance 5'0"? (Masculine spelling of fiance + feminine pronoun = boggled Balin) |

I feel positively tall at the supposedly average (USican female) height of 5'6" -- don't quite know what to make of that. Randomly, I now wonder if the avg heights for British peoples are the same as for USicans. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height#Average_height_around_the_world According to this interesting wikipedia list, I'm a bit taller than the average German woman. Since most of my friends are taller than I am, I wonder where all the small women are?! And the Germans seem to be among the tallest, I didn't know that either. |
