RECAP Now that my relationship with Eric is over, I can sleep on the couch at my friend Jane's house. Sleeping on this couch is preferable to other options because of comfort, and another yet to be determined reason. I do not sleep on this couch every night, and there is a particular reason why I sleep there the nights that I do. Jane's house, and the couch, are 8 hours driving distance from my own house. Information still needed: When/why do I sleep on this couch? What other reason than comfort is this couch preferable to all other possible sleeping arrangements? Did the couch used to be yours?yes! actually, it still is.... Two years ago I left Athens, Georgia and moved to Baton Rouge Louisiana for graduate school. I left behind my boyfriend and many friends, and I anticipated having to put a lot of furniture in storage, since i was moving in with a roommate who also had a whole house full. At the same time my friend Jess (Jane) was moving into a new house and had no living room furniture. So, my couch now lives at her house, until I need it back, rather than collecting dust in a storage facility. This couch is AMAZING. I mean really, it's the best night of sleep you ever had. Really incredible...and i MISS IT! So, for the first year and a half I was gone, whenever I came back to visit it was primarily to see my boyfriend, and I of course stayed at his place, which is what I wanted, of course, but I sure still missed that couch. Now that our relationship is over, when I go visit my friends in Athens, I need a place to crash, especially since alcohol is usually involved with these girls! What better place to sleep when you're on vacation than your own fantastic couch?! Even when others are staying at their house as well, I get automatic dibs. *** SPOILER **** | ||

By the way, I'm glad to see you back. When I first discovered the site, I spent a lot of time reading the archives, where you had many posts in which you mentioned living in Athens.
