hi ohlala and thanks. in fact i have been a member of the lpf for about 10 years but havent been in for a while - and would you believe i cant remember my password - not even sure of the exact format of my name - though i know it was just my first and second names. so i reregistered some time ago and have just reintroduced myself to the site - hopefully with enough time on my hands to put some effort into the puzzles. im a chronic insomniac so you will find me in here at all sorts of odd times - australian time - as far as the font goes - im still struggling with remembering the formatting protocol. the best i have come up with so far from the instructions is \ 0 { at the beginning of the text then closing the parentheses at the end. i am wading through the instructions but clearly havent come up with the right combination yet. any help would be appreciated. | ||

When she goes shopping, cashiers & other service personnel sometimes end the transaction by saying, "Thank you, young lady." Since Verona knows that she doesn't look like a young lady & resents the suggestion that pretending that she is one is a compliment, she says, "Thank you, doctor," to get across the idea that it's insulting to "compliment" someone by suggesting that what he really is isn't good enough.
