All right then... Gas: gasoline? Gas as in not-liquid-or-solid? Random guess: did a car backfire? And someone thought it was a gunshot? And pulled their gun? |

So "a man got gas": he bought gas at a gas station? Or did he fill it from a gas can? Did someone try to rob the gas station? |

Something worse than the pin failing? Did the pin make a sound like a gunshot? Is the person with the gun a cop? Is the person HAM? Is the gun a real firearm? Is it legal? So the man bought gas, but a pin that was part of the gas pump failed, preventing the gas pump from shutting off, possibly causing his tank to overflow. In anger, the man pulled his gun and went to shoot the gas station owner, but didn't for reasons unknown. This good? |

******spoiler******** a man, the customer, was filling up his car when the safety overflow pin failed. This caused gas to spill out of his tank and onto his car and him. Angry the customer went inside the store pulled a gun and threaten to shoot the owner unless he paid for a car wash and dry cleaning. That's it. This actually happened to me over the weekend at a gas station I work at. I was at the register. My boss did give him a car wash and offer to pay for dry cleaning, then we wrote down the tag number and called the police when he left. Thanks for being understanding with my first puzzle and playing along. I will do more in the future thanks again |

It takes a certain kind of laziness to leave the nozzle in the car unwatched and just wait for the auto shut off to kick in. But to then threaten the owner's life over the malfunction of a machine he probably didn't even know how to repair--that takes an attitude! |
