Does your key work in the other locks? Yesish. Did you find the keys for the other locks? Were they labelled? No to the rest. |

Did your key open the other locks? Did the locks open, but fail to release the IDs? Did you try your key in the other locks? |

Did your key open the other locks? Yes, but... Did the locks open, but fail to release the IDs? The locks are the "IDs" pretty much. The wall thing is a calendar board, with holes where you can attach a lock with your apartment number to book a washing time. Did you try your key in the other locks? Yes, but there's more to it. |

Was the intent to get yourself a washing time? A better one? Were you able to do so? Did it take you a long time to do this? Did anyone see you while you were messing with the IDs? |

Was the intent to get yourself a washing time? A better one? No to both. Were you able to do so? I could if I would. That probably would piss people off though. Did it take you a long time to do this? No. Did anyone see you while you were messing with the IDs? No. |

Were you trying to arrange the IDs in a particular order? The correct one? Does the order have anything to do with washing times? |

Were you trying to arrange the IDs in a particular order? No. The correct one? FA. Does the order have anything to do with washing times? Yes. This part is already solved - I was unlocking other people's locks. My own key was involved, nobody else's. I moved them essentially for fun/as proof that I could. I only moved bookings for times that had been used recently, not for times to be used in the near future, so as to not piss off anyone. How did I do this, and what did I find that made me believe it would be easy to do? |

Is there a correct order? Did you have another key with you? A copy of the key? Did your find help you open the locks? Was the find a key? |

Is there a correct order? No. Did you have another key with you? A copy of the key? No to both. Did your find help you open the locks? Indirectly. Was the find a key? No, but close. |

Did the find enable you to believe that your key would open the locks? Was it a lock? And your key worked in it? |

Was it the blueprint of the locks? Something that showed their interior? A picture? An X-ray picture? |

Was it the blueprint of the locks? No. Something that showed their interior? Yes indeed. A picture? An X-ray picture? Even better than any of the above. |

Was it an opened-up lock? A broken lock? A lock in production? A lock where you could see the interior? Half of a lock? |

Was it an opened-up lock? A broken lock? A lock in production? A lock where you could see the interior? Half of a lock? This, pretty much. ***SPOILER*** I found a cylinder that had fallen out of a cheap bike lock at work. I found out that: 1. The locking "pins" extend to both sides of the cylinder. 2. The default position is that they stick out on alternating sides 3. The locks are cheaply made with wide tolerances. I realized that by twisting the key in the lock while raking the key in and out, I could make the pins catch and align pretty easily. It worked on about half of the locks I tried it on, so I moved some of them around for fun. |
