An event caused me (Galfisk), over the course of a few days:
Firstly mild surprise and pleasure
Then annoyance
Then discomfort
And finally a small financial loss

What happened?

Did this occur over your vacation? Was something lost? Destroyed? Damaged? Is the weather relevant? Is work relevant?

Did this occur over your vacation? No. Was something lost? Destroyed? Damaged? All of the above, though damaged or destroyed are more accurate terms. Is the weather relevant? No. Is work relevant? No.

Did you find or otherwise acquire money or some object(s)?
Was some discovery made about a particular situation?
Are other people involved? If so, 1? 2? 3? 4? 5? more?

Did you buy something at a tag sale? And it was cheap? But soon afterwards, it didn't work as well? And finally broke down?

Was the source of the smell something solid?
Something liquid?
Something gaseous?
(I realize that, as a smell, it's gaseous, but I'm talking about that from which the smell comes)
Something biological (man, plant, animal)?

Was it the smell that caused you the surprise and pleasure?
Or was the smell only a side-effect?

Was the deodorant used as a makeshift flamethrower? Used with fire in any way? No (though I've been known to do that) Did it explode? No.

Which caused you to smell?
Got it!
When waking up one morning at the dropzone, I was surprised and pleased that the air in my camper smelled completely fresh, without the usual hints of mold. Later that day I was annoyed when I discovered the reason for this; my glass deodorant bottle had shattered when I set down my bags the night before, and the contents had evaporated. The deodorant has a very mild citrus smell, and that smell had dispersed leaving an unidentifiable "fresh" smell in the air.
Then I experienced the discomfort of not having a deodorant, until I went and bought me a new one.
Thanks for playing!
