If they think they can do it, they never will. If they admit they can't, they already will have. |

"They" = H/A/M? H/A/F? Are all "they"s the same "they"? All right, that sounded weird =P Could the statement be rewritten as "If they think they can do it, they never will do it. If they admit they can't do it, they already will have."? *is still pondering the it* Are all "it"s the same (including the implied ones)? |

"They" = H/A/M? H/A/F? All are human (I hope). Some Adults, some teens, mixed and irrelevant gender. Are all "they"s the same "they"? yes All right, that sounded weird =P Could the statement be rewritten as "If they think they can do it, they never will do it. If they admit they can't do it, they already will have."? yes *is still pondering the it* Are all "it"s the same (including the implied ones |

Religion relevant? If not, is the number of people relevant? If so, less than 10? 20? 50? 100? 500? 1,000? 10,000? 100,000? 1 million? 1 billion? |

It: an action? Avoiding an action? A thought? Is the Game (which I just lost) relevant? Location relevant? Or another mind game? Do they have to admit they can't to: themselves? Just anyone? Someone in particular? If they at one point think they can, but later admit they can't, have they already lost their chance forever? Pessimism relevant? |

Religion relevant? no If not, is the number of people relevant? If so, less than 10? 20? 50? 100? 500? 1,000? 10,000? 100,000? 1 million? 1 billion? the exact number of people is not relevant, but it could be anywhere between 2 or 3 and 30, or maybe more. It: an action? this is closest Avoiding an action? A thought? Is the Game (which I just lost) relevant? no to these, but I suppose in a way "The Game" is laterally relevant. Location relevant? DOYD of "location" Or another mind game? I'd say this Do they have to admit they can't to: themselves? Just anyone? Someone in particular? this one is closest If they at one point think they can, but later admit they can't, have they already lost their chance forever? no, once they admit they can't do it they will have done it Pessimism relevant? no |

Are the tests with the "this page intentionally left blank" and "do not write in this area" labels relevant? Are they in a classroom? |

They can't do it...at all? On their own? Is admitting they cannot do it the only way to win the game? Is this a game at all? |

Are the tests with the "this page intentionally left blank" and "do not write in this area" labels relevant? No Are they in a classroom? Some of them "may" be, but if so, this is irrelevant. They can't do it...at all? Noish On their own? Noish Is admitting they cannot do it the only way to win the game? see below Is this a game at all? I'm not sure I would call it "a game", or "winning", but if I were to use those phrases, yes, admitting they cannot do it would be the only way to "win". |

We have to ask questions in order to find out the answer? Googling relevant? |

We have to ask questions in order to find out the answer? Well yes, but this is not the solution or even relevant to the solution. Googling relevant? no Hint: Both "The Game" as mentioned above and the title "This Page Intentionally Left Blank" are laterally relevant. |

So the "they" is "people solving lateral thinking puzzles", right? Is "it" related to solving a puzzle? Is it simply "solving a puzzle"? |

This puzzle? Yes! Good job. Now figure out why you can't find the answer without admitting you can't. Hmmm... "We give up, can you tell us the answer?" No, nice try. Find out why you can't find the answer and I'll tell you you're correct. |

Is the answer that there is no answer? bingo! Or that we cannot find the answer? therefore this too ****SPOILER**** The solution is that there is no solution, therefore you cannot find one. So by admitting you can't find the solution due to lack thereof, you have solved the puzzle. The vaguely relevant title was due to the fact that by printing "This Page Intentionally Left Blank" on a page, it is not blank. Similarly, by making the solution that there is no solution, that means there is a solution. good job everyone. |

Ah, yes. Have you tried creating a blank post on this forum? It won't let you. It gives an error message. To create the blank post of 9.07 (above) I had to type a white question mark on a white background, and hope that no-one had cross-posted and greyed me out. |
