The only problem is that the above example would be pronounced horribly wrong in Spanish, and examples that wouldn't be are too hard to come up with due to the general correspondence between Spanish written vowels and their phonemes. In layman's terms, in Spanish every vowel can generally only represent one sound (and AFAIK they don't distinguish between variants like "eh" vs. "ay" for "e"), as opposed to English in which the same sound is represented by ey, ay, ai, a, eigh, ei, etc. | ||

Lizzie is the only one who calls me "Tortie", I prefer Heather myself. The name came from an e-mail and my usernames which are sometimes tortielover or TortieKitten, which have to do with Tortoiseshell cats. I only call her Kaylee on websites because many people she knows online don't know her as Lizzie. |
