A slightly tougher one: What is the origin of the nickname "Nestle"? |

I assume this is Nestle (with an accent), the Swiss confectioner, not the verb "nestle", which means something like "to be enclosed in a cozy manner"? Assuming so, is the name of a particular Nestle product relevant? A slogan of theirs? |

Which of the following is relevant: - the origin and meaning of the name "Nestlé"? - the spelling? - the logo of the company? (or the color of the logo?) - any of their products? - the location of their headquarter? - a sports team sponsored by Nestlé? |

Such as "N-e-s-t-l-e-s, Nestle makes the very best...chocolate"? No I only realized this after posting the puzzle statement, but a scrund was involved in the creating of this nickname. |

Is it spelling scrund? A pronunciatin scrund? Is it a nickname of one of your baseball friends too? Is it based on any of these: His looks? His ethnic background? His character? His name? Things that he likes/dislikes? |

Recap, please? Sure. Some of my baseball friends gave me the nickname "Nestle" (like the chocolate company). They gave me this because of a scrund they had - they thought that a certain product was made by Nestle, when it actually is not. |

Was the product a chocolate product? If so, in the form of a: Bar? Candy? Chocolate-covered something (not either of the above) Chocolate chips? (as in the bits used in cookies/biscuits, etc., the usual definition) Chocolate chips (aka crisps across the pond...seriously, I've had chocolate that looked like Pringles. I can't remember where it came from, so covering all my bases here) Hot cocoa powder/drinking chocolate? Chocolate milk (or chocolate powder used to prepare it)? Chocolate syrup? Chocolate ice cream? Anything else I potentially missed? |

Wouldn't have thought of them if you hadn't said anything, but I remember what you're talking about, Kaylee... They're called Swoops. Is the product actually made by Hershey's? The Mars Company? Cadbury? (MAN, do those companies make a lot of stuff!) Another confectionary company? Is the product sweet? savory? Was the name of the product close to? or an exact? description of some characteristic of you (e.g. Quik [yeah, I know, it's actually a Nestle product] ~ quick)? |

Is something with the initials M.M. relevant? Yes Maybe even your name? YES! or is Eminem relevant? No ooh, good suggestion biograd! bet it's your name, Balin, because those are your initials, aren't they?? :-) *remembers* Yes it is! Does your middle name by any chance start with an N? No, but we have enough. **********SPOILER********* In Little League, my nickname was "M&M" for two reasons: those were my initials, and I always somehow wound up on a team with another Matt (so the nickname made it easier to distinguish us). The next team I played on was my first team with crazy people, and when they were supplying nicknames, they asked me for mine - I said "M&M." They thought "Aren't M&Ms made by Nestle?" and started calling me Nestle. In fact, M&Ms are made by Mars Inc.; however, that nickname gave me that scrund until I double-checked it for this puzzle when responding to the first questions on it. Nice solve - now I have to think of some more of the better nicknames from baseball teams past. |
