the story is quite complete now. Me and my fiance wanted to marry in the second half of September and for many reasons, the most convenient date was Sept 17. This is also the date of Soviet invasion on Poland in 1939. But this coincidence isn't enough for me to generalize that: all men consider marriage as invasion. So what happened to make me state that ironic sentence? By the way, on Monday I met one and only one so far man not "thinking so". Guess what, he also got married on Sept 17 :-) | ||

(I'm using Sam instead of you fiance real name)? YES! Something along these lines? ******SPOILER****** My fiance and me are going to get married on Sept 17. Due to weather and family reasons we wanted the second part of September, but we didn't like available hours on Sept 24. As soon as we went out of the church (from fixing the date visit), my fiance said "Significant date for marriage, isn't it?" Then I realized the coincidence of our wedding date with anniversary of Soviet invasion in Poland. When we announced the date to my family, my father's and my brother's first words were: "Meaningful date for marriage, no more freedom". And till today, when we announce the date to a woman, she refers to beautiful September weather - but every single man notices first the date coincidence. Thanks to everybody who played, especially Balin and Rbruma for the solve. | ||
