Priscilla's costume for the masquerade ball may sound incredible, but it was real. What was it? |

"sound incredible": when being told about it you might assume it would be hardly possible to make such a costume? But in fact it was easier to make? Would the puzzle work with a man wearing the costume? Could any woman (convincingly) wear a costume like the relevant one? Or was there something special about Priscilla which allowed her to wear it (convincingly)? |

Did you miss Shez's questions? I would find the answers interesting, too... Would you, when being told, probably assume that making such a costume would be absolutely impossible? |

She dressed as a person: A certain individual person? Or rather a representative of a group? Did she dress as a person who could really live today? As a person who could live in the 20th century? 19th? 18th, 17th, 16th? 15th? 14th? 13th? 12th? 11th? 10th? 9th? 8th? 7th? 6th? 5th? Earlier? Is the "yesish" rather than "yes" to my questions about "absolutely impossible" and "hardly possible" due to doubts about whether one would find making the costume really impossible or just very difficult? |

Did she dress as a very specific person, one of a kind, someone who couldn't be mistaken with someone else? Or rather as a type of person (a princess, a witch)? Was it a person from European culture? Arab culture? Bysantine culture? |

Is the ish because she didn't make the costume? And rather it was the real thing? That is, it was really worn by the specific 11th century person? Or if not, it was an actual 11th century piece of clothing? A costume that was used in the 11th century for that purpose? (As opposed to something that an 11th century person might wear to go about their daily business) |

YES!!! ******** SPOILER ************* A recent contestant on "Jeopardy" said that she had gone to a masquerade ball as Lady Godiva. How? She wore a body stocking that matched her skin tone! Sorry it was so easy, but I figured it would be fun. I figure that my new puzzle at the bottom of the page will be fun, too--but harder. |

thanks Nimue. sorry I got it so soon, but the idea came into my head almost immediately and then your answers started to confirm it. a friend of mine did almost the same thing - dressed as an inflatable sex doll. Incidentally I work on a project called Godiva! |
