Was the specific make only around in the 80s? Model? The particular model was only around in the 80s. The make was around from the 1920s until it was discontinued in the early 2000s and 'absorbed' into its parent company (which was Chrysler, btw) Is it the car of which your tortiesibling posted a picture on your facebook wall? *stalks* o noez, mee iz stalkd bai kitteh. re: make/model - I'm trying to remember what refers to what. Assuming the car was, say, a Buick Skylark (it's not, but I have a reason for using that one as an example) I was answering "Skylark" for the model, "Buick" for the make (or rather, what the answer actually is). Unfortunately I am not so good with cars,.. OK, so, recat: My sister was talking with our mom (how?) She said something that our mom took to mean "I'm looking at premature lions!" which Mom naturally found nonsensical. What Tortie actually said was, "I'm looking at pictures of __ ___s!" where the blanks are the make and model of car. I found out Tortie was looking at this car because she posted it on Facebook (no cheatin, mr. coke, doriana kitteh, & balin...but if you remember without looking, you might answer) This kind of car was made by a subdivision of Chrysler, so it's an American car, and was only made during the 80's, though the division's now reabsorbed/discontinued by Chrysler. Now: WHAT was the make and model? WHY was my sibling looking it up, as it was not because either she or Mom wanted to purchase it (but...) HOW did I find out about the conversation and have it clarified? |

Uses Wikipedia for discontinued Chrysler makes... Is it a model of Plymouth? Maybe Plymouth Valiant? (which sounds a bit like "premature lions" if said the right way, though I would have rather pronounced it like "valley-ent", like the actual word) |

Because you used to have one of these? Yes! I could ask you to clarify "you", but I won't. It was mommee kitteh's car =). (Incidentally, the Buick Skylark, used as an example earlier, was our dad's car.) I think that's all I asked for, so consider that the ***SPOILER!!!*** On Thursday, my mom and sister had a conversation on the telephone, and when my mom asked what Heather (aka Tortie) was up to, she said "I'm looking up Plymouth Reliants". Mom somehow thought she said "I'm looking up premature lions". When Tortie and I were only little kittehnz, our mom owned a Plymouth Reliant station wagon, identical to the picture Tortie posted on my Facebook wall. Our dad owned a Buick Skylark, but that's not really necessary to the answer of the puzzle. So I presume the reason Tortie had for looking up Plymouth Reliants was because of the car our mom had previously owned. Maybe she can clarify for me if she ever gets on here and looks. Thanx doriana kitteh for the solve; yuo iz bestest puzzel solvur, and so iz othur kittehz who worked on this puzzel! =) Cheezburgur partee, for both vegetarian and not-vegetarian kittehz! =) |

Addendum from Tortie: "I was talking about cars with robert and he was talking about hatchbacks and putting band equipment in cars, and it reminded me of the station wagon and how we used to fold the seat down and go to drive-thru movies, and when we'd go on long trips, and everything, and all these childhood memories started resurfacing." |
