"What is ___?" I couldn't answer her. The situation amused me, so I told him about her questions. Hilarity ensued. Later, he answered for me and I learned something new. You know the rest. What am I talking about? my LatVenture is nowhere near done, I just decided to run a hopefully quicker puzzle as well to amuse those not of the Lateral Adventure persuasion =) | ||

Must be tortiesibling, then! In the puzzle statement I can only find two "he"s, but in your answer there's "one of them" and "the other two" - is confused kitteh! Is Balin one of the "he"s? If so, the one whom you told about her questions? The one who answered for you? Is a particular puzzle relevant? If so, are you the host? tortiesibling? Balin? The other he? someone else? I may have misspelled the name. we would indeed! =) and no you did not. woubit, founder of woubits inc., pedants to the gentry, is indeed the LTPF member spoken of in that line. Now there's only one more to figure out, the HAM whose puzzle enlightened me as to the meaning of woubit's name. (Although woubit himself expanded on it at another point.) | ||

I don't know that many LTPF members yet... is it Peter? no, Peter has been much more active than the gentleman in question as of late. In fact, I think woubit's been here more recently than our missing H/A/M has...however, the title is relevant (as it is in most Kaylee kitteh puzzles) | ||

And Peter comes in to save the day!!! =) Also I seem to recall that Borax was Woodworm's gift in woubit's Christmas 2008 puzzle exactly so...someone obviously asked for a present that would be a treat for Woodworm, but he ended up with a treatment for woodworm - the usual Christmas misunderstanding, I think woubit called it. So this, then, is the ***SPOILER***...here, for sake of interest, is Tortie's and my emailed conversation to Balin, dating from the days just after she joined the LTPF and posted her first puzzle, when I still had the idea that woubit ought to be called 'mr. woubit' because I saw someone else doing it... Tortie: what's woubit Tortie: ? Kaylee: mr. woubit is a very fine puzzler indeed Kaylee: and he is a woubit Tortie: ok Tortie: what is a woubit Kaylee: he is Kaylee: I do not know, you may ask him Tortie: in the sense that something is woubit-y Tortie: ... Also, "you know the rest" was a clue to woubit's identity and to Christmas puzzles, being his currently limbo-ed Christmas puzzle.
