I = Chek? True story? FYOI? FSEI? (from your own imagination/from someone else's imagination?) If "I" isn't you, is "I" H/A/M? H/A/F? If "I" isn't you, may we call "I" Sam? |

<<true>> True story: yes. And it's ME. Kaylee, how do I get my sentences to appear in bold print like everyone elses. I tried copy/paste but it goes in like this no matter what? Do I do it as an "upload attachment?" |

Chek: On the left of the screen is a "Formatting" link that gives a lot of tips. But for bold text, do the following (sans spaces): \ b { Your bolded text goes between the braces. } Now to questions: You didn't know that -- a fact? A piece of trivia? Is it relevant where you learned "that"? |

welcome! also, replace the b with i for italics, and with u for underlined text. you can even type in a color name instead, like orange, blue, and so on =) Also, you can sandwich tags inside each other (for example, I was doing that all inside italics. So for example, \orange {orange} is how I got orange text, spaces removed.) |

I myself have 4 of them; I should think you'd have at least 1 maybe two of them. can i buy one? from a supermarket? yes, you can find them there, but typically you would go to a place geared for this kind of thing. would it cost less than £5? less than £20? don't know what that translates into, but they can cost between ten to fifteen dollars. did your doctor tell you this fact? nurse? dietician? local shopkeeper? tradesman?possibly this one. refuse collector? no to the others. |

what "hammer" is called in some other language? This is closest, but it's more what I read it was called, and it was called something that is quite common and yet you would never associate that with a hammer!! At least I never did and I have been around tools all my life. For me it was a totally new concept ... large hint that! |

i'm a bit confused - is this related to a literal translation of the word 'hammer'? Or lack of a literal translation? I read a book that was not specifically about hammers but mentioned this particular fact about the hammer that I had never associated with it. If you zero in on the book, you should nail down what it was. Or a brand name for a hammer in your own language that seems completely inappropriate for what it is? e.g. not a brand name, a generic noun. The puzzler 3000<-- ??. |

ok, was it a fiction book? non-fiction? this. was this word used as a synonym for the word 'hammer' in the book? No, it mentioned it in the context like, " ... even the hammer etc., etc.". if you didn't associate this name with a hammer beforehand, how did you know that it related to hammers having read the book because of how much sense it made after reading it. Was it obvious from the context? I never would EVER have referred to a hammer like the way this book did. But after considering it, I thought anyone would be hard-put to repudiate it! were there pictures of hammers? no. was it a brochure selling hammers no. and other hardware? no. |
