People believe that hospitals/blood banks always have enough blood of all types? Nimue ignored my first question? Misconception that blood doesn't have types? That blood is just blood. This brings to mind a yo mamma joke, yo mamma is so fat her blood type is Ragu. Misconception is that if you take medications that you cannot donate blood because no one can use it? Hmmm...misconceptions about giving blood... Feeling drained and tired after donating? Blood pressure will go down? That the donor will be low on blood afterward? The donor will feel dizzy and may faint? (I suppose if they have a fear of needles, this could happen) That the donor could get AIDS or some other disease? That donating is painful throughout the process? |

Other people must be giving enough blood, so they don't need mine? The donor gives their blood for free and the Blood Center sells it to someone else? The donors only need to donate once (or some limited number of times) a year? Donor has anemia, high blood pressure and/or diabetes so he/she cannot donate? Donor has a tattoo or piercing so he/she cannot donate? |

Does the scrund have anything to do with where the blood is drawn from the body? Does the scrund have to do with people believing they will die as a result? Become diseased? Change in some way? |

is the scrund to do with inheritance of blood types from parent to child? is it to do with which blood type a child could have given the types of their parents? is the scrund that a child will have the same blood type as one of their parents? or that they will not? is it relevant that a child may have a completely different blood type to both their parents? but that it can only be one of a predictable set? |

I asked why anyone would need her blood; couldn't people with her blood type get any negative blood: O, A, B, or AB? She said that was just for emergencies. Otherwise it's always best to receive blood of your own type. How many of you had this scrund? Regardless of whether you did, please check out my new puzzle!! |

I didn't have this scrund, but everyone in my family has a common blood type, so it doesn't affect me as much. Though I do know someone with AB blood. |
