Did you see "them" during your commute? Specific type of transportation relevant? For example, if you take the bus, could this puzzle work just the same if you drove yourself to work? | ||

Is the mode of transport your car? train? Did a freak or at least an unusual event occur? I'd imagine a late train is not unusual! They were happy... had they come into money? are they supporters of a particular team? or a team themselves? chess relevant? or any sport, games or passtimes for that matter? Was it their celebrating that caused you to be late? | ||
