Luciellen and her parents found an unusual solution to a parent-child conflict that many families face in connection with college. What is the conflict? What is the solution?

Does it not arise at a specific time of day at all? But rather at a certain point in the term? Orientation? First day of classes? Midterms? Finals? Coming home for break after living away from home? Upon receipt of grades? Upon graduation? Upon registering for classes? Upon eating? On weekends? On weekdays? Over breaks? Over some specific break(s)?

Getting a job relevant? Postgrad study? How well the child does in their degree? The graduation ceremony itself? Going travelling? Moving back home? Moving somewhere else? Staying in the college town? Is the conflict a case of the parent wanting the child to do one thing, and them wanting to do another?

Just to check, college here means university, as in higher education after leaving school, correct?

Do the parents see the graduation as a bigger deal than the child does? Does the child think it will be boring? That their parents will embarrass them? That there is no point attending? Would they rather do something else? Would the family have to travel to attend the graduation? Have to pay money? Can only a limited number of people attend the ceremony?

So the conflict is that the child wants to skip the graduation, but the parents want to attend?

Does the solution involve the parents attending? Luciellen attending? The family doing something else together? Does the solution mean that both parties get to do what they want? Or that they get some compensation for compromising?

****** SPOILER ************
I'm Luciellen, and my parents wanted to go to my college graduation, but I did not want to go. So they went and I didn't! A good time was had by all. Why don't more families facing this conflict use this solution? For another good time (I hope), please check out my new puzzle.

Because then they couldn't take 692 pictures of you and your friends like my mom did to my sister last weekend. Seriously. We counted them on the digital camera.

I'm inclined to agree with Greg, given that I once took 355 pictures at a high school dance. (I was on the yearbook team, and yes, I counted them too.)
