Is honey relevant ? Does the buzzing sound of the bees mask the sound of something else? Is the hive's presence tolerated? Encouraged? |

To make behave: to make the churchgoers behave? the clergy? or are you referring to the behavior of the bees themselves? |

"upon" as in physically upon/above/over, i.e. on the rooftop? outside the church building? or under the roof? somewhere else in the nave? Was the beehive put up there by humans? on purpose? or was it a wild bee's nest? Was the beehive there mainly for a practical purpose? did the bees help to spread pollen? if it was not the churchgoers who should be made behave .. then maybe the non-churchgoers? Was there a common legend that the bees would sting those who do not go to church regularly? |

The bees - are they a metaphor for churchgoers? Are they bees as in the animal? If yes: alive? depicted? made in stone(as in a sculpture)? |

Hooray a shot in the dark pays off. Nice idea but a bit depressing that people would steal from a church. |
