John Wesley Hardin, named after the famous reformation leader, wouldn't you know, was a notorious gunman and killer in the old west, USA. While trying to sleep in an hotel room, a man in the room adjacent to his was snoring so profusely that Hardin could not sleep. In an effort to make sufficient noise to wake the snorer, Hardin fired his revolver at the wall. He did not know how thin the walls were and a bullet penetrated the wall and killed the snorer; which interestingly enough allowed Hardin to sleep. My husband snores - he's not loud, so it doesn't bother me much, but he is versatile. He can snore in any position, including standing up. I'll have to remind him of this incident. |
