I (yours truly Doriana) am quite eco-conscious, annoyingly so, and I try not to waste energy or other resources. But because I have another, equally annoying character trait, I just did something that every environmentalist would scold me for. |

Did you waste something? If so: electricity? Fuel? Water? Packaging? A normally recycled material? Did you take a really long hot bath or shower? Driving involved? Heating? Cooling? Lighting? Inefficient lighting relevant? Did you buy something? Something useless? Something from the other side of the world? |

Print things that don't need to be printed? Print things on higher quality paper than necessary? Print things larger than necessary? Print on only one side of the paper, when you could use both? Did you print it in order to: read it? Give it to someone? Save it? Destroy it? |

Did you write the text? no Relevant? somewhat Do you print anything really important, because you don't trust the computer with it? no, in this case I printed it because I wanted to make annotations and to bring it to class My printer occasionally eats paper. Anything like that? Mine does too, but not relevant here Tho that wastes paper more than ink. I should clarify that I also wasted paper, which is actually more important to the puzzle |

Did you forget to verify / proofread your document, so you had to print it all all over again, after correcting the mistakes? Did you not properly setup the page layout, so after printing you found yourself with little text scattered around a lot of pages? Was a small error uncovered (like a missing date, or ID information), that was in the header / footer of ALL the pages, thus prompting a reprint? All the bad examples from above -- from my own experience |

To prevent FAs, I should clarify that I did this intentionally because of the other character trait that hasn't been discovered yet. Also I should add that the document was a .pdf, so I couldn't edit it or change the layout. |

To avoid havig to use a copier? My printer is also a copier, but it uses so much ink that way that it is better to just reprint a document. |

Does this way of printing use: more paper? More ink? A different type of paper? Larger paper? Is your other habit to write really big? Or to write very much? So you printed on a large paper in order to get enough space for your annotations? |

Did you print it in colors, although a black and white printing would have been just fine? Did you have an option in choosing between multiple printers and you chose one that was not so eco-friendly? Did you print some pages that were"intentionally left blank"in the original document, thus wasting paper on unimportant messages? Were you able to choose what to print (in the sense that you could have chosen to print pp. 1-13 and 16-20, let's say, leaving 14-15 out, but because you needed to have all the pages in the right order, you decided to print those too)? |

YES! (Although it wasn't a blank page but a page that only contained the table of contents) Were you able to choose what to print (in the sense that you could have chosen to print pp. 1-13 and 16-20, let's say, leaving 14-15 out, but because you needed to have all the pages in the right order, you decided to print those too)? yes, but for a different reason. Nice round of q's! The not so eco-friendly thing I did was that I printed out an unneccesary page when printing out a text for class, thus wasting ink and paper. Now, why did I do that? |

Relevant what you did with the extra paper after printing it? Would the puzzle have worked if you threw it away immediately? Is the other annoying trait: computer-related? Paper-related? Book-related? School-related? Money-related? Number-related? did you not want to print out 13 pages? Or another number of pages? Or were you aiming for a specific number? Or a type of number, such as a prime? Or odd number? |

Or a type of number, such as a prime? Or odd number? Nice solve, time for the ********SPOILER******** I'm usually not a superstitious person, but somehow I think that 13 means bad luck and therefore I try to avoid it as much as possible. The other day, I printed out something for class, and it would have amounted to 13 pages, had I only printed the pages I needed. So I decided to waste some ink and paper and print out the table of contents too. |
