Were you embarassed because you were barefoot? turning blue? or for another reason? Were you possibly "barefoot all over" i.e. naked or nearly so? Assume you were outdoors? Location relevant, either specific location (country, state, city, etc) or general type of location? (rural, town, etc.) Oh, and I=you, Deholmes? |

So you were indoors, in your own home, in Idaho, in wintertime? If in your own home, relevant what area? including 'garage' {basement, attic) as an area of the home. |

Down here, the laundry is sometimes in the garage. Don't suppose that would be the case in ID? Just checking: is your car in the garage? or an RV/mobile home? Did you go to get something out of a vehicle? Or is something else that one might commonly find in a garage relevant? say a bicycle? (or let's not say a bicycle). Or something that one might uncommonly find in a garage? |

Have to ask, as one that once had a goat in the basement - are animals relevant? |

I don't live in the Ozarks! The goat-in-the-basement was in Nebraska. I would never do that here - we don't have basements. You went to the garage for some reason, right? You weren't sleepwalking? Did you go out to get firewood? Is that anywhere near OTRT? that is, did you go out to bring something back into the house? |

Even in Idaho, I knew a family that allowed their pigs and other animals in their house, I guess it's a frame of mind not a location would never do that here - we don't have basements. ****************************************SPOILER********************************************* Good job all. You have solved enough, it would be unfair of me to prolong this.I was barefoot to the top of my head when I went into the attached, unheated garage and the door locked behind me. I was cold and the only way out had to be the garage door that opened to the street. OK, I wasn't really trapped in there, but while there I thought what a great puzzle. So now let's finish up 'SURPRISE' |

ha :) I like how one of your first thoughts was, 'Hmm, this would make a good puzzle... now to work out the best way to get back inside!'. |
