Like Ersilia in "You Don't Have to be a Fanatic," I was born by planned Caesarean, but unlike her, I have an innocuous birthday (June 23). But I'm still mad at my parents because of my birthday. How come??

Did you always have exams on your birthday?
Had school always finished and your friends could never make it to your party?
Was there an event that always took precedence over your birthday in the minds of your friends?

Did you share your birthday with anyone? And that caused a bit of resentment?
Is it an unfortunate anniversary of an historical event?
Did you always have to take a trip at that time?

Is it relevant that you were born by Caeserian? Would you have been happier if you had been born on the 22nd? the 24th? Or would you prefer to have been born in, say, November? or some other month entirely?

What about other dates in June? Would you have preferred any date before the 23rd? But not after it?

Is there a financial disadvantage to the 23rd June?

is the day of the week you were born on relevant?

would other people dislike this date? for the same reason as you do? would other people dislike other dates for the same reason?

does being born on this day stop you doing something you want to? or make it harder?
does it make you do something you don't want to?
does it disqualify you from something?
if you hade been born a year or so earlier would you still have been unhappy with this date? is your unhappiness with this date linked to the year you were born?
is money involved here in any way?

are any of these relevant about you in this puzzle:
your health? your gender? your race? your religion? your job? your hobbies? your politics? your romantic relationships? your friendships? academic life? weather forecasting(!)?

would your dislike of being born on this date seem reasonable to most people?

do you think your parents should have known that you would dislike this date? do you think they were thoughtless?

anything to do with astrology?
the cusp of star signs?
the winter (or could be summer) solstice?
would others on the same date be similarly upset?
just you?
other birthdays or celebrations or events share that date?
anything to do with siblngs?
sharing a date with someone else?
anything to do with a choice that your parents had?
does the date of your birth influence how many presents you might get?
whether you could have a celebration that day?
the season relevant? (june is a bit of a bugger here.....)

**** SOPOILER ************
Since I was born by planned Caesarean early in the 4th week in June, my parents could have given me any one of several appealing birthdays--the last day of spring (June 20), the fiorst day of summer(June 21), the longest day of the year (usually June 22). But they bypassed all these exciting possibilities in favor of plain old June 23. :(:(:(:( Sorry it was so easy, great work, Kerry & Woubit, & you know what awaits you at the bottom of the page

Yes, pretty nuts. But in a good way. I was born on a Friday the thirteenth, and I know people born on St. Patrick's Day, the Ides of March, and, yes, June 21.

I read somewhere that disproportionately many babies are born in June. But the reason is too obvious for a puzzle--women often plan it so they won't have to be pregnant in the summer. (Northern hemnishpere, of course, & probably not the exteme north.)

Ptolemy Caesarion, son of Julius Caesar and Cleopatra VII, was born on this day. i figured that was why Caesarion had been capitalized
