Okay so it was a caesarean section. :-)

Did that change the world? in this scenario, yes
It changed the world of the person who was rudely removed from the comfort of the womb? well, yes, but that's not all, it changed the wider world as well
It changed the world for women and childbirth? no

There is something more to your imagined plot? oh yes :)

who is more important in this scenario:
the woman?
the child?
someone else?

is it relevant why a C.section was performed?
what would have happened if it wasn't:
mother would have died?
child would have died?

Does it matter to the plot that the child was born this way?

is it relevant what happens to the child next?
later / weeks / years?

who is more important in this scenario:
the woman?
the child? both/and, both are vital to each other
someone else?

is it relevant why a C.section was performed?
what would have happened if it wasn't:
mother would have died? possibly
child would have died? possibly

Does it matter to the plot that the child was born this way? yes

is it relevant what happens to the child next?
later / weeks / years? yes - years

You asked a very important question very recently, don't forget it... :)

is it relevant why a C.section was performed?
what would have happened if it wasn't: the precise medical reason is less important than the consequences of it having taken place

Is this child a famous person? Julius Caesar? Adolf Hitler? no, this is a fictitious account of something that could happen in real life; I just don't know whether it ever has happened in this way

Oh, and you're under a FA that can easily be cleared up...:)

Thanks for the prompt - i hadn't actually noticed that you had said "yes" to more than one foetus!

Was it twins?
More than that?
siamese Conjoined twins?
Conjoined triplets?

Is it then relevant what this / these newborns did as adults?
Or at least what he /she / they were like as adults?
Was he / she / they very different from "normal" people?

Gender relevant?

******* SPOILER ******

Once upon a time the young Queen was due to give birth for the first time. She was expecting twin boys. One little boy was heading towards the birth canal and was preparing for his short but momentous entry into the world as future King.

However the Queen's blood pressure rose dangerously high and it was decided that she should have an emergency Caesarian Section. Due to the point of the incision it meant that his brother was lifted out first and was automatically the eldest son.

The End

- but it was a different beginning to the future......
