was it actual murder of a human being? did she get away meaning: the murder was never discovered? she was never suspected to be involved? she was never successfully prosecuted? did the cat remove evidence? did it also aid her in committing the murder? |

Was the cat in Sarita's house when the murder occured? Was Sarita? Did Sarita construct, with the help of the cat, some evidence that she was at home during the time when the murder occured? that she was not at the victim's place? that she never met the victim? Did the police have some evidence against Sarita? which was later invalidated by the cat? Did the cat play an active role in the murder (except for providing Sarita with an alibi)? |

To be clear - the cat is present when the murder occurs, and Sarita is not, though the manner of death could be stabbing, shooting, poisoning, etc.? Was the cat itself the evidence? The murder weapon? Are allergies relevant? Did the victim commit suicide? Were there any other humans involved besides S. and the victim? Was the murder carried out by human hands? |

Is the relevant thing about the manner of death that the murderer had to be physically present to commit the murder? Is the distance between S's home and the scene of the crime relevant? Does S live in a freestanding house? an apartment building? some other type of building? Does she share her home with any other humans? any non-human animals other than the cat? Could S's neighbours hear and/or see that the cat was in S's home at the time of the crime? |

Are S's home and the crime scene in the same country? the same town? Are they more than 50 miles apart? more than 500 miles apart? Is the idea that S would not have had time to travel from her home to the crime scene and back? because she had to take care of the cat? because of something else about the cat? so sarita commits a murder and is suspected of it? but gets away with it because somehow her cat is involved in removing/getting rid of/destroying evidence? is there some tangible object which is part of or all of the evidence? if so, does sarita bring it back to her house after the murder? is it there before the murder? does it stay at sarita's house? you say the cat sort of changes appearance.. does it get bigger? smaller? wetter? drier? does it lose any part of its fur? or claws? does it change appearance because of its mental state? for instance change its body posture? is the mental state of the cat relevant? does it get angry at some point? frightened? does the cat do something which indicates that sarita has been at her house all day? or for the period of time the murder happens? is food involved? cat food? is a clock or watch involved? a cat flap? a litter tray? a veternary surgeon? does sarita pre-arrange for the cat to be the alibi? or to get rid of the evidence? is it relevant whether the cat is the type of pet which stays in the house all the time or the type that is let outside? |

Did the cat somehow remove fingerprints? or footprints? Did the evidence, subsequent to the cat's modification of it, suggest that S had never left her house during the time that the murder was committed? had never left the vicinity of her house, but might have gone outside? Is it relevant what mode of transportation S used to get from her house to the scene of the murder? Did the cat destroy evidence that S had used this mode of transport? Did she attach/connect/feed the device to the cat? Did this make it appear as though she was still in her apartment? I believe those things send out some sort of alarm or signal if removed - is that not the case here? Or did S. find a way around that which we need to discover? |

Or did S. find a way around that which we need to discover? see above ********** SPOILER ************ Sarita is under house arrest & is so far from mending her ways that she commits a murder (at a location outsiderher house). She establishes an alibi by attaching her alarm device to her cat, who nwver goes outside. So as the cat moves about Sarita's house, the device registers that Sarita is still there. Guess what--it's from "Law & Order." Sorry it was so esay, & please check out my harder one at the bottom of the page. |
