Part of conventional wisdom nowadays is that that cancer can be an opportunity for "personal growth," which I suspect is part of a conspiracy to intimidate sick people out of complaining. But Nura really does have a good reason for being glad she had cancer. How come?? | ||

Is it relevant what type of cancer she had? "She had cancer", meaning she no longer does? And is still alive? Is it relevant how the cancer was treated? | ||

Hair relevant? Did she form a romantic or otherwise special relationship with her oncologist*? Did it provide her with the motivation to quit smoking or some other "bad" habit? *This does not assume gender or preference of either Nura or her oncologist. | ||

I do, but this is about Nura's thoughts.  Did it help her find a long-lost relative? Bone marrow relevant? Surgery? Was it breast cancer? Lung cancer? Colon cancer? Did it affect bone? Skin? Organ(s)? | ||

did having one type of cancer somehow reveal another, more dangerous type that she had? treatment is relevant you say.. did she have chemotherapy? radiotherapy? both? surgery? complementary therapy? is a specific drug she was given relevant? are side effects of treatment relevant? did the treatment have an effect upon another type of cancer she had at the same time? did having the cancer somehow allow her to gain a benefit? an emotional benefit? financial? health? did it allow her to avoid something bad happening? to her? to someone else? is it relevant if her treatment was successful? was it? was her life saved as a result of having cancer? are any diagnostic tests relevant? | ||

hello Nimue had the cancer metastatized/spread? did she have any health problems other than the cancer? was it just a benign tumor (though some would say that's not "really" cancer)? | ||

is a bone marrow transplant relevant? did she receive one? act as a donor for one? was a donor found? did she find out new information about herself? as a result of the cancer? or the treatment for it? did she discover something about her parents? did she find a new member of her family? so having cancer stopped something bad happening.. would that have been something physically bad for her? another illness? death? or something emotionally bad? or something financially bad? | ||

When you said surgery earlier did you mean the transplant itself? Did Nura receive something relevant in the donated bone marrow? If so, a virus? (or other infection), immunity to an infection to which she was previously non-immune? Genetic material? A load of Y chromosomes? Robust stem cells? Are any of these relevant about the bone marrow donor: Age? Sex? Medical history? Relationship to Nura? Is graft-versus-host disease relevant? Were the "benefits" of this cancer treatment immediately apparent to Nura ? (Say,within a few days of the transplant) | ||
